Eighty-year-old Winston Jones has experienced the first climate change of his life after moving from Maine to Texas in October.

“Climate change is real!” Jones said. “It happens whenever you move to a different climate!”

Jones said that he didn’t know what they were talking about for the last 40 years, but now he does.

“They were talking about acid rain and that didn’t happen. They tried to scare us with rising sea levels and I can tell you as a resident of the Maine coast that that didn’t happen. And then they said it was getting warmer, but that didn’t happen. Now I understand what they were talking about all this time!”

Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who has been the most vocal proponent of climate change legislation agreed.

“When I moved to DC, it was noticeably warmer than New York. That’s climate change!” Ocasio-Cortez said.
