Looting-free zone signs introduced as protest countermeasures in major cities
As cities across the countries burn, calls for greater police action in suppressing peaceful yet violent protests have been met with bitter criticism. As a result, Democrat mayors of major cities have found what they believe to be an acceptable compromise.
This past week, officers distributed looting-free zone signs to every store owner.
“We believe this is the best way to deescalate tensions,” said Mayor Frey of Minneapolis. “When they see that someone’s shop is a looting-free zone, protesters will drop their bricks and return to their homes.”
As of Saturday night, we have received confirmation that looters have stolen every one of these signs.
