BREAKING: Iran Cancels Plans to Attack California because Gavin Newsom Already Destroyed It
TEHRAN — Iranian military planners have formally shelved a long-rumored operation targeting California after an internal review concluded the mission was unnecessary.
According to a statement released by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on Thursday, the decision followed “a thorough assessment of existing conditions on the ground.” Officials determined that sustained domestic governance had already achieved outcomes comparable to those anticipated from an external attack.
“Strategic objectives such as widespread infrastructure strain, elevated living costs, population outflow, and diminished economic vitality appear to have been substantially advanced without our involvement,” the statement read. “Further action would constitute inefficient duplication of effort.”
Analysts in Tehran noted that California’s ongoing challenges—including high taxes, regulatory complexity, housing shortages, energy constraints, and visible urban disorder in major cities—had rendered the state a low-priority target. One senior official, speaking on condition of anonymity, described the situation as “self-sustaining.”
California Governor Gavin Newsom’s office declined to comment on the Iranian announcement. A spokesperson instead issued a brief statement emphasizing the state’s “continued leadership in progressive policy innovation” and “resilience in the face of external narratives.”
The cancellation marks a rare instance of foreign military restraint predicated on the success of local administration. Iranian strategists indicated they would redirect resources toward regions where conditions remain more stable and therefore more worthy of attention.
