After investing eight years watching the HBO series Game of Thrones, millennial free-lancer Brandon Taylor is fiercely upset with the season finale of Game of Thrones.
“I loved watching this show because of how real it was,” said Taylor. He added, “You never know if you your favorite character is going to be beheaded, or if the bad guy is going to win, much like the real world where the evil capitalists always end up on top at the expense of the little guy.”
Apparently the season finale of a show complete with dragons and other mystical creatures drifted too far from reality for Taylor when the beloved character Daenerys Targaryen turned into a complete tyrant slaughtering thousands of innocent people in the hopes of establishing a worldwide utopia.
“I just don’t understand why the writers would have her do that. It is so divorced from reality that someone would want to establish a utopia in their vision would end up to be a tyrant responsible for the deaths of so many innocent people. That would never happen in real life.”
But the season finale was not all bad, said Taylor. He really enjoyed when the Dragon melted the Iron Throne.
