WASHINGTON, D.C. — Attorney General Pam Bondi announced today that she will make up for not arresting any of the Epstein sex-trafficking clients by not arresting any of the people involved with trying to unlawfully subvert democracy and take down President Trump in the “Russiagate” scandal.

The statement comes amid ongoing scrutiny of Bondi’s management of sensitive case files and unfulfilled promises to release additional Epstein documents.

Bondi, speaking at a press conference, acknowledged public frustration over the lack of prosecutions tied to Epstein’s alleged client list, which the Justice Department concluded does not exist based on a July 6 memo. “We’ve heard the concerns about the Epstein investigation,” Bondi said. “To address those, I’m committing to a restrained approach on Russiagate because they’re kinda the same thing. We will not be pursuing arrests in that matter at this time.”

The Epstein case, which has drawn significant attention due to the financier’s high-profile connections, has fueled controversy after Bondi’s earlier claims suggested significant revelations were forthcoming. A February statement on Fox News, where she implied an Epstein “client list” was under review, raised expectations that were later unmet, prompting backlash from some Republican supporters and congressional figures.

Many people were furious about the announcement.

“We thought we were going to see those corrupt commies like Obama and Brennan do the perp walk—you know justice! Looks like all we’re going to get is more strongly worded letters and Fox News interviews,” on commenter said.

“My job as Attorney General is to look good doing nothing and that’s exactly what I intend to do,” Bondi said.

The decision to forgo arrests in the Russiagate probe, which investigated alleged ties between the 2016 Trump campaign and Russia, has sparked mixed reactions. Critics argue it reflects a pattern of overpromising and underdelivering, while supporters view it as a pragmatic move to avoid politically charged prosecutions.

Bondi’s announcement follows reports that she briefed President Trump in May about his name appearing in Epstein files, though no evidence of wrongdoing was found. The Justice Department has since moved to seek the release of grand jury testimony related to Epstein, pending court approval, in response to public and political pressure.

The Attorney General did not provide a timeline for further actions on either case, stating only that the Justice Department would continue to review materials and act within legal constraints. The decision not to pursue Russiagate arrests is expected to intensify debate over the administration’s handling of high-profile investigations.
