NEW YORK, NY — With just .01% of precincts reporting nationwide, Fox News on Tuesday evening projected that Israel had won the 2026 midterm elections, delivering what analysts described as a decisive victory for the Jewish state regardless of which candidates ultimately prevail in congressional races.

“We can now confidently say that Israel has won tonight,” a Fox News anchor announced shortly after polls began closing in the first states. “Obviously, there are still millions of votes to count, and control of the House and Senate remains very much up in the air. But on the question of Israel, this race is over.”

The projection came after an early exit poll showed overwhelming support for continued U.S. military assistance to Israel among voters who had been asked whether they supported continued U.S. military assistance to Israel.

Fox’s decision desk reportedly reached its conclusion after consulting a panel of foreign policy experts, several of whom noted that regardless of which party controls Congress, the fundamental U.S.-Israel relationship is unlikely to change in any meaningful way.

“It’s a huge night for Israel,” said one Fox analyst. “The Democrats could take the House, Republicans could hold the Senate, or we could see a complete reversal of both chambers. But when you step back and look at the bigger picture, Israel has clearly emerged victorious.”

The network’s projection was met with some confusion among viewers who had tuned in to learn whether their preferred congressional candidates had won.

“I’m just trying to find out if my congressman got reelected,” said one viewer in Ohio. “I don’t really understand what Israel has to do with my district.”

Fox anchors assured viewers that the network would address individual congressional races as results became available, while emphasizing that the broader geopolitical implications of the evening were already becoming clear.

Meanwhile, several Democratic candidates who had campaigned on domestic issues including healthcare, inflation, immigration, and government spending were reportedly seeking clarification on whether they had been included in the election at all.

A Fox spokesperson defended the network’s early call, explaining that the decision desk had a high degree of confidence in its assessment and that the projection should not be interpreted as a prediction of any particular congressional outcome.

“We are simply reporting what the election means,” the spokesperson said. “And what it means is that Israel has won.”

At press time, with .02% of precincts reporting, Fox News had also projected that Israel would retain its existing relationship with the United States.
