In a shocking display of angst and self-immolation, US Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez burst into flames after raging against the machine at the border concentration camp in Tornillo near El Paso, Texas.

“She was yelling and convulsing and someone said, ‘Don’t touch the fence!’ but she did anyway and instantly burst into flames,” an onlooker reported.

Many have criticized the event as a staged publicity stunt, but Ocasio-Cortez has maintained that it was not.

“I just really wanted to see the horrible conditions these innocent people were enduring,” Ocasio-Cortez said as a tower of flames engulfed her. “It’s absolutely horrifying and I can’t believe that people let this go on.”

“I mean the fact that I just burst into flames by touching a fence is insane. There are children here!”

Her physician said that she should recover from the 4th-degree burns on 99 percent of her body in time for her next Cooking with Communism show.
