US—President* Joe Biden has addressed the negative GDP growth in consecutive quarters saying, “What we’re seeing is the most diverse, inclusive, and equitable recession in history.”

Many in the administration have scoffed at the idea that the United States is even enduring a recession at all, but Biden has owned it and given it a spin of his own.

“Sure we’ve had recessions before—even bad ones—but none have affected so many blacks and Latinos and people in the LGBTQIAPPFJB community,” Biden said at a press conference.

Rising gas prices combined with a hawkish Federal Reserve and a generally slowing economy are among the tripartite risks facing the world’s largest economy right now, according to economists.

“But that doesn’t have to be all that bad. As you know we have some very intersectional people in charge of running the economy. So if it fails, then you can’t blame them or else you’re racist,” White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said.
