Rep. Pelosi wears ashes from Planned Parenthood on Ash Wednesday
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi came under fire for proudly wearing ashes that she got from a Washington DC Planned Parenthood to mock the Christian rite.
Christians across the country wore attended the distribution of ashes to remind them they are dust and unto dust they will return. Rep. Pelosi, who claims to be Catholic, appeared to be mocking the practice by wearing ashes from the country’s largest abortion provider.
“We need to be more progressive as a Church,” Pelosi said, “and that means celebrating the killing of unwanted or undesirable children.”
Pelosi is big supporter of the women’s right to choose and of Planned Parenthood.
“We need to be more progressive as a Church,” Pelosi said, “and that means celebrating the killing of unwanted or undesirable children.”
Official church ashes are created from the burnt palm leaves from the previous palm Sunday. It is unclear where the Planned Parenthood ashes were derived from.
“That is one sick puppy,” Frank Horrace of Pelosi’s district said. “I mean, it’s one thing to support abortion. It’s another thing to wear the ashes of those poor babies on your forehead like Charles Manson.”
“They even made it a little ‘p’ instead of a cross the sickos.”
