The Dixie Chicks have changed their name to ‘The Dicks’
The Dixie Chicks are now known as The Dicks.
The country trio changed its social media handles, and their official website now redirects to thedicks-com, which they bought from pornhub.
“We want to meet this moment,” reads a message posted on the site, signed by members Martie Maguire, Natalie Maines, and Emily Strayer.
The Dicks is a portmanteau of The Dixie Chicks: The Di’cks.
They’ve also released a new song, “Virtue Signal Silly,” with a video filled with footage of protests through the ages, and listing the names of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and dozens more.
“This was something we really felt impassioned to do since we were paid to do it by George Soros,” the statement continued.
The move follows fellow country trio Lady Antebellum’s decision to change their name to Lady A, renouncing the term used particularly to describe existing before the American Civil War, and “associations that weigh down this word,” including ties to slavery.
The Dicks have been known for their vocal support of leftist political causes including peace during the Bush administration, drone bombing during the Obama administration, and racialism during the Trump administration.
