NEW YORK—The epidemic of people shoving other people onto train tracks in New York subway stations has gotten the attention of national politicians.

US Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has weighed in on how to stop horrifying crimes, reasoning that, “if we legalize shoving people onto subway train tracks, it wouldn’t be a crime. It’s really simple.”

New York Mayor Eric Adams said that the logic checks out.

“It’s absolutely true that if we just make that legal, then the people doing it wouldn’t be criminals, so we’re considering that brilliant approach,” Adams said.

Ocasio-Cortez has been promoting making theft and murder legal too to lower the crime rate.

“When you look at the videos of these people shoving innocent people onto train tracks, you’ll see that they’re mostly peaceful. So, really, it should be legal,” Ocasio-Cortez added.
