Biden praises Lightfoot for how many Chicagoans have ‘gotten shot’ this year
CHICAGO—In a rambling, incoherent speech, the most popular president in the history of the world pushed his vaccine agenda in Chicago, taking a moment to commend Mayor Lori Lightfoot on how many people have gotten shot this year.
“I think I heard somewhere that Chicago has more people getting shot that any other city in the country and that’s just great,” Biden said. “You’ve done an amazing job keeping people safe!”
Lightfoot, who has promoted the vaccine tirelessly in innovative programs like the “shots for shots” campaign, was not there to receive the praise.
After being notified that Chicago held the record for homicides and not vaccination, Biden’s speech took a turn for the worse.
“The Ohio Pennsylvania, the Ohio Pennsylvania, I’m from Pennsylvania,” Biden said gesturing to himself. “The Illinois president.”
