Joe Biden‘s wife Jill made her argument for the Biden nomination yesterday saying, “Your candidate might be better on, I don’t know, health care, than Joe is, but you’ve got to look at who’s going to win this election,” she said. “And maybe you have to swallow a little bit and say, ‘OK, I personally like so and so better,’ but your bottom line has to be that we have to beat Trump.”

Evidently Jill Biden thinks that Democrats have GERD or other trouble swallowing.

The campaign thought that it was a good thing to run on so they have decided to hand out bottles of Maalox to the 30-or-so fans who show up at Biden campaign rallies.

“I think it’s a great message for all people,” Joe Biden said. “Citizens’ esophageal health is very important to me. If they’re having trouble swallowing a little, I want to help.”

The presidential candidate wanted to stress a specific demographic.

“And young girls especially. If you’re having trouble swallowing, I want to help,” Biden added.
