Ocasio Cortez: ‘Women won’t be equal until we end women’s suffrage!’
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York took the “Equality Can’t Wait” conference by storm this today for Womens’ Equality Day and made a bold statement in her scheduled panel.
“It’s 2019 people and women are still not equal. Women won’t be equal until we end women’s suffrage. We must fight for equality put an end to women’s suffrage once and for all!”
The audience of cosmopolitan women and historical dunces applauded wildly, giving the young politician a standing ovation.
“There are too many women suffraging today in places all around the world–even here in Washington. It’s a shame and I’m calling for the global end of women’s suffrage.”
Bill Nye was an unexpected questioner after the panel asked if Ocasio-Cortez knew that women’s suffrage meant that women could vote.
“Stop trying to mansplain this,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
Ocasio-Cortez has not addressed feminism but has alluded to the fact that she has received so much antagonism from mean Republicans because she is, “as powerful as a man, and they can’t stand it.”
