Obama slams selfish greedy rich people from his new $15 million Martha’s Vineyard estate
Former President Barack Obama said people make too much money and should pay a little more in taxes because they can afford it.
“There’s only so much you can eat. There’s only so big a house you can have. There’s only so many nice trips you can take. I mean, it’s enough.”
“You don’t have to take a vow of poverty just to say, ‘Well, let me help out… let me look at that child out there who doesn’t have enough to eat or needs some school fees, let me help him out. I’ll pay a little more in taxes. It’s okay. I can afford it,’” Obama said.
He said this from the balcony of his new $15 million beachfront estate on Martha’s Vineyard.
“People like David Koch just hoarded their money and never gave it back to the community through the IRS. They basically stole from America!”
Obama has also promised that he would donate more to the IRS after he makes his next $20 million.
“I still believe that rich people should pay more taxes because they can afford it and if I ever become rich, that’s the first thing I’ll do.”
