US—Outspoken soccer star Megan Rapinoe was cut from the U.S. Women’s National Team roster for the upcoming SheBelieves Cup. But her longtime sponsor, Subway, says they will keep her on as a Sandwich Artist following the bad news.

“Megan may not be able to play soccer at the professional level anymore,” Subway spokesman Jared Finkleface said, “but she can still make a damn good sandwich!”

Subway said that their contract with her stipulated that she must continue to keep working, but it didn’t specify what job she had to work at.

“This really is a win-win for everyone. We get some good effort at the sandwich counter and no one will have to see her on the television commercials anymore,” Finkleface said.

In the first major competition since the disappointing Olympic showing, head coach Vlatko Andonovski said he wanted to see if Rapinoe would be better suited behind the counter.
