US—When DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced the Biden administration’s Disinformation Governance Board this week, it was unclear exactly what penalty would be used for people who violated the disinformation policies, since fines or imprisonment would be a violation of the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

Clarity was added today, though, as DHS outlined the penalties for disinformation by the Ministry of Truth Disinformation Governance Board.

People found guilty of disinformation will be sentenced to listening to the new Executive Director of the Disinformation Governance Board Nina Jankowicz singing about disinformation:

This penalty should deter any potential criminal from even thinking about thinking the wrong thing.
