US—A local mother announced Friday that continued disorderly conduct by her children will result in the family’s immediate relocation to Massachusetts, a measure she described as the final and most severe option available under household policy.
“I’ve tried everything else,” the mother, who asked not to be named to protect the children’s privacy, told reporters while unloading groceries. “If they don’t straighten up, we’re moving to Massachusetts. That’s it. Pack the winter coats.”
The threat, first issued during a dispute over unfinished chores and screen time, has been formalized in a handwritten notice taped to the refrigerator. The document specifies that the move would occur “without further warning” and would include enrollment in Massachusetts public schools, participation in year-round youth sports, and exposure to what the notice calls “different values.”
