DALLAS — Several major U.S. airports have begun installing dedicated Aztec human sacrifice stations adjacent to existing Muslim foot-washing facilities, airport authority officials confirmed this week.

The new installations are being framed as an expansion of religious accommodation policy. According to a joint statement from the Airports Council International, the stations are intended to provide “comparable ritual space for faith traditions that require structured ceremonial offerings.”

“Equity in passenger services requires that we recognize a full range of historical religious practices,” said a spokesperson for one participating airport. “Foot-washing stations have been standard for years. The sacrifice stations simply extend the same principle of inclusion.”

Design specifications remain modest: a designated alcove, basic structural elements, and clear signage. Officials emphasized that the stations are voluntary and that no passenger will be required to participate. Usage guidelines, they added, will be developed in consultation with relevant cultural representatives.

Civil liberties groups have offered mixed responses. One organization praised the move as “a long-overdue acknowledgment of pre-Columbian spiritual heritage.” Others questioned whether the facilities would meet contemporary safety and hygiene standards.

Airline industry analysts noted that the installations are expected to appear first in international terminals with high volumes of diverse travelers. No timeline has been released for nationwide adoption.

As of press time, neither the Transportation Security Administration nor the Federal Aviation Administration had issued formal guidance on the new stations.
