It took a ridiculously biased debate hosted by CNN in which the spurious sexism claims of Bernie Sanders were amplified to finally unite the Left and Right wing of American politics. Now both hate CNN.
“It has been a long time since the Left and Right could agree on anything as universal as human rights even, but now it seems they’ve come together for this noble cause,” media analyst Dave Simpson said.
Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont denied multiple reports that he had told Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts in a private 2018 meeting that he didn’t believe that a woman could defeat President Donald Trump in a general election. Warren confirmed the conversation, hours after it was first reported by CNN.
“As a matter of fact, I didn’t say it,” Sanders said, one lectern over from Warren. “Anybody knows me knows that it’s incomprehensible that I think that a woman couldn’t be president of the United States.”
After the debate, #CNNisTrash and #CNNisGarbage was trending on Twitter, but not from the usual suspects of Trump supporters. These hash tags were pushed by Bernie fans.
Of course, Trump supporters have understood this for years.
“It’s just a sweet story that with so much animosity between political factions that they can come together for this great cause!” Simpson added.
