Babylon Bee retracts article making fun of people who make fun of AOC: ‘actually she really is that stupid’
The satire website The Babylon Bee has been forced to retract an article that makes fun of people who make fun of the US congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez‘s low intelligence.
“We thought that we’d post an article making fun of the people who think Ocasio-Cortez is so stupid that she wouldn’t even understand, say, the concept of a metaphor, for instance,” Bee Editor In Chief Kyle Mann said. “But, it turns out that she is actually that stupid so we’re forced to retract the satire.”
The article entitled “Dumb AOC Accidentally Strangles Herself Tying Her Shoes (Because She Is So Stupid),” was a great opportunity to ridicule the Babylon Bee readership instead of a stupid socialist public figure.
Days later, Ocasio-Cortez vindicated all of even the worst satire and memes about her intelligence when she railed against a metaphor:
“Ocasio-Cortez literally descended into a caricature of herself and thus invalidated any criticism of her critics,” satire expert Vinny Diesel said.
“I thought it was hilarious that so many people thought the article was making fun of AOC when in reality it was making fun of them,” Bee author Billy Toadstool said. “I guess the joke’s on us!”
