The impenetrable border wall will be making a massive detour around New Mexico this winter as President Trump has unilaterally excluded the liberal state from the union.

“New Mexico is really a lot like Old Mexico and they’re really going downhill. They really are,” Trump said in a press conference. “That’s why I’ve decided to build the border wall around the state.”

This comes after plans to exclude communist California from the union as well.

Many New Mexicans were seen protesting the decision by gathering outside of public buildings and waving the Mexican flag.

“If they love Mexico so much, this should make them happy. If they vote for me in 2020, we’ll see about letting them back into the union,” he added.
