FBI says all classified docs seized at Mar-a-Lago to be kept at The Washington Post for safekeeping
WASHINGTON, DC—The FBI has issued a statement stating that all highly-sensitive files and documents seized at Former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate will be kept at The Washington Post for safekeeping.
The move comes as the agency tries to mitigate a loss in confidence as they clamp down on leaks to the press.
“We cannot afford to lose anymore of the trust of the American people by allowing these leaks to continue,” FBI Christopher Wray said. “Therefore, we have taken the important steps necessary to move all the classified documents to The Washington Post.”
All documents including the nuclear codes that Trump was selling for his 2024 campaign fundraiser have been moved to the secure newspaper who doesn’t leak anything.
