LeBron James‘s week is getting better after an awful week last week. He scored a multimillion dollar endorsement with Bootlicker O’s and now, the Chinese government has honored him with by putting him on the 100 Yuan currency.
“This is a great honor you know,” James said in a conference. “It’s been a really difficult week you know as a professional basketball player and multimillionaire and it’s nice to know that I have support in some places.”
James caught flack for going back on his praise of Martin Luther King Jr.’s quote, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere,” when he came out in support of one of the most unjust regimes of all time, the Chinese Communist Party in their crackdown of Hong Kong protesters.
James joins a host of companies and sports figures that support the Chinese government including Nike and Colin Kaepernick.
