Progressives in San Francisco, CA are planning a mass suicide to combat climate change. They have collected in a group called the People’s Earth Temple.

“We are destroying the Earth, man,” Jimmy Jones, leader of the group said. “And we can’t live with that on our conscience.”

Many have criticized vocal environmentalists for flying around the world in gas-guzzling jets and living lavish lifestyles in sprawling mansions while condemning others for their pollution. The People’s Earth Temple will be the first to put their money where their mouths are.

Jones has cited Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez‘s prediction that we only have 12 years left before climate change completely destroys the planet.

“The only way that Mother Earth will survive is if humans don’t,” Jones said.

“Please,” Jones implored his followers, “For Mother Earth’s sake, let’s get on with it. We’ve lived—we’ve lived as no other people lived and loved. We’ve had as much of this world as you’re gonna get. Let’s just be done with it. Let’s be done with the agony of it.”
