Bernie furious Bloomberg is using his own money to buy votes instead of other people’s money like him
Democratic socialist front runner Bernie Sanders is fuming that Michael Bloomberg is using his own money to buy votes instead of just using other people’s money to buy votes like he is.
“It’s just not fair that he’s buying votes with money he’s earned,” Sanders said in an interview. “Why can’t he just use taxpayer money to bribe voters into voting for him like a normal politician?”
The furious Sanders says that Bloomberg is trying to “buy the election” and that it’s not fair to people who are just trying to bribe voters with endless free stuff in order to win the election.
But the outrage is coming from all sides, not just Sanders. Conservative talkshow host Tucker Carlson said that Bloomberg is trying to buy the presidency.
“This is an unprecedented candidacy in the history of the Republic. No one has ever spent so much of his own money trying to secure the nomination. Everyone has only previously used forthcoming taxpayer money to do it.”
“If Bloomberg wins, I don’t know what this says about our Democracy,” Sanders added, “that people would choose a politician spending his own money over one who just likes to spend other people’s money. It would be a sad day in justice.”
