Biden fires his speech writer Jar Jar Binks
Displeased with his speech writing up to this point, presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden has fired Jar Jar Binks.
“We’re at a point in this campaign where we really need to hit the pavement and tackle the constituents with real words,” Biden said in a press conference Tuesday.
Binks has been with the campaign through thick and thin and came up with some of Biden’s most memorable lines:
“You’re a dog-faced pony soldier”
“Black kids are just as smart as rich kids”
“Tell it to the judge, you scone-eating hippie armpit”
“Go hike the pike, you butterfingered nickel slot”
And everyone’s favorite:
“And by the way I got hairy legs that turn blond in the sun and the kids used to come up and reach in the pool and rub my leg down so it was straight and let it come back up again.”
We will miss Jar Jar Binks. Let’s hope Joe has kept some of that creativity!
