Democratic socialist Senator Bernie Sanders has dropped out of the 2020 presidential race and begun moving into his new vacation home on Martha’s Vineyard.

After early triumphs in the Democratic primary, the independent from Vermont failed to pull away from former Vice President Joe Biden as a wide field dwindled and pressure from his party intensified.

Sanders saw success from Iowa to New Hampshire, Nevada, Colorado and California, which increased the DNC payoff amount dramatically.

“The path toward victory is virtually impossible … I have concluded that this battle for the Democratic nomination will not be successful and we thought that it was the right time to take the house, which will be my fourth, and drop out of the race,” Sanders said.

Sanders’s campaign was riddled with difficulty as much of this donations and many of his delegates were redistributed to other, less popular candidates, along socialist principles.

Sanders also had to fake a heart attack at one point during the campaign to get out of paying for a really expensive dinner.

Fans posted videos on social media of themselves crying at the announcement.

“I can’t believe it. I’m probably going to have to get a job now,” one fan said.
