Joe Biden thanks Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for his endorsement

Joe Biden thanked Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for the endorsement he gave him yesterday.

“I’d like to thank Dr. King on his endorsement and just take a moment to praise him for the wonderful work that he did throughout the Civil War and the Reconstruction.”

Many voters were stunned to hear of the endorsement since King was assassinated in 1968.

“The work Dr. King did with the poor kids and white kids throughout the country has been great. I think his endorsement means more to me than anyone else except for possibly Corn Pop’s.”

Biden recounted working with King in the Civil Rights Era.

“I worked with Dr. King and other segregationists a lot,” Biden explained in his acceptance speech. “We got things done. We didn’t agree on much of anything. We got things done. We got it finished.”

Biden continues to collect endorsements—even from living people.
