Society that prizes victimhood over everything is shocked there are so many fake victims
The society that prizes victimhood over everything has been shocked to learn about the many hoax hate crimes that are occurring.
“I congratulate every victim and seek to reward them monetarily,” American Hardship Legal Center Spokesperson Anela Braxbury said. “We even reward it with the Victim of the Year Award. But I just can’t figure out why there are so many fake victims coming out now.”
The Jussie Smollett incident is the latest high-profile hoax in which someone in a super marginalized demographic—gay and black—faked a hate crime against him.
“I’m a victim,” Smollett said. “But not a victim of a hate crime. I’m a victim of the societal oppression that made me fake a hate crime against myself.”
“The news heaps praise over any alleged victim,” Braxbury continued, “unless of course the victim is a CIS-gendered white male, against whom no crime can make him a victim. I just can’t believe that anyone would fake a hate crime, so it probably doesn’t happen.”
There have been dozens of celebrated hate-crimes that later turned out to be hoaxes perpetrated by the victim. And the trend continues to grow.
Braxbury is looking for answers. “If you have any ideas of how to reduce hate crime hoaxes, please leave them in the comments of this story.”
